You should be able to swap them, 1st gen has a stiffer spring than 2nd.
If im not mistaken, 2nd gen has the softest spring of all 10's.

Any idea what are the spring rate of both gen 1 and gen 2 and can it be replaced by aftermarket springs?

Gen 1 - 10.0 kg/mm
Gen 2 - 8.3 kg/mm
Gen 3 - 9.1 kg/mm
Gen 4 - 9.7 kg/mm

They can all be replaced with aftermarket, they might require a collar or adapter but nothing major.
