which fork oil should i get for 2gen

The service manual suggest KHL 15-10 (KAYABA) or equivalent. What does that means? Choose either 15w or 10w oil. But which fits my needs. 15w means thinner and faster damping but softer ( sounds like good for dirt bikes) but faster rebound mean the tires reconnect with the road faster so more grip. and 10w means thicker oil slower damping and good for sport bikes.
So did i get the meaning of the oil right? Which one is best fitting though.
Which oil do you guys use for cannon rides. Or track.

10w oil is thinner then 15w. As to what viscosity you should use I don't have a recommendation.

Wait... there's more.....

The "weight" of the oil advertised by the manufacture does not
necessarily match up well between manufactures.

See chart below to pick your poison.

Changing weights and also the amount of oil in the forks
makes a difference. Just keep a record of the weight/manufacture and
the amount of oil you used. Try it out. Next time make adjustments and
you will find what type and fill level you like.

I change fork oil annually. I've been using the Motul Very Light 2.5w

If everything is stock dont over complicate it and stick with what works. Bottoms-Up is right, you need to go by viscosity. Here's to make it a little easier on you.

KHL 15-10 is 15.30 CST @40c. So you want to get an aftermarket that is as close to that as possible to get the same feel. Here's a list of what would work for you.

Motul 2.5wt full synth (factory line series)
Maxima 85-150 Racing Fork Fluid
Maxima Fork Oil 5 wt
Amsoil Shock Therapy light 5wt
Race Tech US1
