Drag racing, will a 190/55 hurt?

Hey guys I recently bought a 190/50 Michelin Power One. But when it arrived it was actually a 190/55. My question is would that still be ok a far as drag racing is concerned or would sell it and get a 190/50. I haven't been able to get in contact with the person that sole the tire so I'm trying to see which is my best option from here

They sent you the wrong tire, so they should be paying the shipping for you to return that one and then send you the correct one. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Although -OP- is right, you will be fine with the 55.

I ran with a 190 55 power one all year last year it's fine. And it'll help keep your front tire down a little as well.

Actually a larger tire is = a smaller sprocket
And vice versa.

Thanks guys I had become a lil worried. My whole setup has changed this year so I don't know where I'll need my gearing set at.

As for the seller, I have been tryin for a while to get ahold of him.
. Emails, calls, etc with no luck. With the first big race in about 2 weeks I'm running out of time to deal with him as far as replacing the tire. But I plan to keep at it until I at least get a hold of him and let him know my displeasure.

If your setup is the one is your sig you should be good depending on how much you weigh. If your a lightweight you may run out of gear. but should be ok

I haven't updated my sig yet. I've got the Robinson 1st gear, undercut trans and a couple other things. I float between 190-200 and I haven't gotten a good clutch hand yet. My buddy that rides it when I need times is 145-150

The new 1st gear is what I'm wondering how it'll affect the gearing
