Well I hope things work out

I bought a oil pan from a member on here, it arrived today for me to notice the drain plug was stripped out and had a hairline crack up the threads in the pan. I tried a different plug that would actually grip a little, and it wont stop leaking, i just wish people would tell you the truth on what they are selling, only way to fix it, is to pull all my fairings off, drain my 50 bucks in oil hoping to be able to reuse, but new 30 dollar exhaust gaskets, pull the pan, either pay for a time sert or but a new pan.. I hate my life right now.. just sent the seller a messege letting him know about this to see how he wants to handle it, i hope he things work out as i could have bought a brand new pan for what i will have into this one when its done. He never told me the pan was usuless, so last 3 hours of my time were wasted...

Agreed.

We don't tolerate members getting ripped off on this site. Please see if you can work it out with the seller and update us with the status. If it turns out the deal went south, at the very least selling privileges will be revoked. Sorry to hear of your issues.

He's had good transactions in the past. But yea, that's bullshit. He should make it right.

Yeah, we'll give it some time to get worked out between the parties involved.

ya i had just sent him a messege about it right before i posted, i know people are busy so it may be a few days till he gets back to me. shipping was pretty quick, and i will say that part was great, it just really annoys me how the drain plug is stripped out. i got it to seal tonight using a rubber washer and a nylon washer, but i cant go very tight on it or it will rip the rest of the remaining threads out. I dont wanna rip on anyone in a bad way, but i just wish i was told about this before i bought it because i would have bought a different one for a few bucks more and not had to deal with this hassle.

Didnt expect to see this coming. Im not sure how to feel about this post as i am very honest in anything i sell. I always inform someone if something is damaged or not 100 percent perfect. Slow10R I am pretty disappointed that you are having this issue. But let me say that i know for a fact that pan bolt was not stripped as i romved it myself as well as checked it. You came to me asking if i still had it. Also the only reason i was selling it is because i bought an entire engine from head to pan and installed it in the bike. It concerns me that you didnt message me prior to installing another bolt that could have caused damaged to it if not more. It shouldve been sent back the way you claim it was given to you as you say it was. I own up to my shit. You can send me back the pan and when i recieved i will gladly refund your money. And to whoever else bad mouths me. Know the facts before you jump to a conclusion. I know i did no wrong and i wont be that piece of shit guy who will tell someone tough shit. So just so everyone knows 10R send me back the pan with the different bolt that may have possibly caused further damage and i will send you back the money.
