Power Commander Ignition Module vs tre?

im a little confused on the tre. wouldnt a power commander ignition module do the same thing plus more? maybe im not reading something right?

Yes, you are correct. The Ign. mod will allow you to change the ignition mapping as much as you want (to an extent) vs. the tre will only use a premade factory map. I have also read that tre's dont even use the correct map.
