Talking Targa fender eliminator!

I finally ditched the fender and got the targa eliminator. It looks pretty good and I am still legal so the po po don't mess with me. I am still waiting on the stinking exhaust and wind screen in the mail somewhere!

Got the same one...the plate light no longer works, but happy overall and it looks great on your ride.

I just bought the Targa FE kit too. The fugger was minus two of the required bolts that hold the filler plates. What I tried initially is to mount the bracket on the two rear bolts so the plate is closer to the tail light. I'm just fitting it now though and may move it to the front two bolts. I did a search on the Targa FE and some guys said you don't have to drill if you do not use the plate light but how did you get the signal light wires up into the trunk section without drilling? I was thinking of trying to wedge them between the filler plates, maybe just drilling off a very small outside piece of the filler plate??
I'm also going to get the signal light adapter cables to eliminate splicing off the OEM connectors. I'd like to return the bike to near stock condition when I trade it in someday.

yep...good point..it's been awhile but just looked at my setup...It appears I did drill a hole for the wires(or was that a stock hole.. as it looks so clean I can't tell right now if it was there)...so yeah the earlier posts might not be accurate or it was a stock hole. One suggestion though if that hole is not there...maybe drill a hole in one of the filler plates if your not going to do the license plate hole and wan't no drilling to the rear.

After I mounted it where I wanted it, I drilled a hole through my undertail. If you look on the upper-back of the plate bracket (The piece that rest against the undertail), you will see a hole (I think it's 1/4"). I drilled through that hole and then ran my wires through there. Thanks to smalls for that tip!! I am off to bed, but if you are still having problems I will post some better pics of how I did it tomorrow night. P>S> Mount it further back, I think it looked waaaaaaaaay better. Just my .02

edit-I just re read you post and I saw you said you didn't want to drill. Sorry. The way I did it was the only way I found to make it look tight.
