A dude dynoed his stock '06 10R

Over at sportbike world forums ( thread here: ) and he posted the result.

Probably not fair to just rip off the image (bad scan as well) so I'll tell you it was :

165.71 BHP.
83.64 foot pounds torque.
Max RPM 12,719

With a _really_ linear curve.

Looks like a generous dyno, but that is a really smooth curve.

Compairing the two dyno's (06 and 04) if conditions were the same during the test, the 06 sure has gotten some HP/Trq gains

I tend to not pay much attention to Dyno numbers like this unless they put a competing bike, or an 04/05 10R, on there right after so you can see the difference. Different Dyno's vary too much. Same as Dynoing your own bike after performance mods, the more important number is the difference of the before and after.

stock 04/05 compared to stock 06 will be a couple of bhp top end at the most (even kawi claim peek power is unchanged for 06) but the 06 will have a better curve

Totally agree. Have not seen an '06 dynoed before though so it's cool.

Yup...that was me...funny how things travel in the motorcycle world. Then you rip my scan :) Actually, I was too lazy to scan it in so I just took a picture of it :)

Big Deal. Dyno number really dont mean much, not unless its a back to back comparison. What I want to see is a lap time comparision. Same day Same rider Same tires.. THAT would mean something..at least to me
