bt003rs defect??
Ok...heres the skinny...bought a set of 003's from an online source that Ive gotten tires from before with zero issues. Got the tires in Jan '12 and just spooned them on a few weeks ago. Checked em over well inside and out before I mounted them...and now after about 200-300 miles...Im getting little 'defects' Like hard rubber deposits in about 4-5 spots. (see pics) They dont seem to go all the way through the carcass. Ive contacted the place I bought them from and they want me to 'buy another tire and send in this one for possible defect review' I really dont have the extra $$ to jus buy another tire hoping I will get a refund on this one. What do you guys think? I have a track day in July and I was planning on using these tires. Would tech pass this tire with these...'spots?' Or should I just use some bill money and buy another tire...lmao!

Hard to say if its from the surface you are running on or a bad batch of tires. Bad batches happen OFTEN. Contact the tire manufacturer. They will likely have you send in the tires to where you bought them and upon receipt, give you a refund. But if they are heavily used they won't issue a refund, just partial credit.
Call the manufacturer ASAP and go from there. I have done it for car tires that developed large bubbles on sidewalls on multiple occassions.

Has to be a bad batch.

And I've run the 003's before...with no issues. I'm gonna call Bridgestone today or tomorrow and talk to them. Bikes on stands as we speak until I get this straight
