Im in agreement about the emissions shit for it. Yours is bridged to delete it, so its the most logical thing.

also, i have one electrical connection left over.... white connector right over the stick coils/plugs .....has 2 wires, one red with blue stripe one brown with white stripe
Its real clean inside so I dont think it was just open ( emissions crap is removed)

any thoughts?

Sorry for not responding sooner bro,
I wasn't able to go over to my shop in the last day or so because of hiring in process for my new job.
But yes, AIS.

Yep...
I never took my emissions stuff off, I just plugged the tube that feeds into the airbox with a marble. I suppose I could just buy some hose and bridge those like you did and delete the rest...Do you have to do anything to bypass that plug no longer being connected?

To make it easy, just pull your left & right mid fairings off,
get you a bright flashlight, lay on your back looking up and shine the light along the welds of the frame. If it has a crack, it will show up with the light as kinda a greyish line.
If you need any help or tips, PM me and I'll shoot you my # bro.
I'd be more than happy to help ya.

Everything seems to be in order

No, on the Gen 1's, you can just leave it unplugged and it won't throw a FI code.

I know this is an older thread, but it sure is going to come in handy as I weigh out doing my 15,000 mile service myself or pays the three dealers in my city (all with bad reps) 700.00 to do it.

This shortcut doesn't really save you that much time, especially when it comes to your engine, at least for me I know I wouldn't want the word shortcut anywhere near my engine. I do my own work and I was always go by what I know for a fact or refer to the service manual.

Yeah I would not do any kind of short cut. I was more referring to some of the insight of what to expect when doing your valves.
