I love my 03. Since I swapped the suspension that is.
When I ride it, I have more fun than when I ride a sport bike. More fun to ride a semi fast bike fast than a fast bike slow kinda thing. Overall though, its more fun to ride a fast bike fast if you can find a place to do it.

I like it. But like was mentioned, it's not going to be far from your 10r as far as passenger comfort. I have a speed triple and have to admit it is far a better streetbike than my 10. I'd sell my kawi well before i'll get rid of the triumph for street riding. But my wife would say the harley i had for a while was her favorite. Now it will be more comfy for you, not being bent over with both yours and your girlfriends weight on your wrist. But her ass and feet are still going to be higher than what most would consider comfortable when compared to a touring or cruising bike.

Same question here too. I'm thinkn about buying a new Z for comfort so me and the wife can take long rides. I just can't do the cruiser thing lol but the Z seems to be the perfect bike. I've never rode one tho?

Same here, I have a the zx6r front end on it and rear shock and it holds a line soooo much better, not to mention better breaking. Its funny I was riding the 10 since I just got it and then snapped the clutch cable...been riding the Z the last 2 days and I forgot how much fun that bike is! I sat on it as was like WTF the pegs are practically on the floor lol I have ridden the Z as far at 750 miles in one day and was totally fine. Not sure I could say the same about the 10

You guys might also want to check out the Ninja 1000 if you are looking to do some longer rides and 2up riding, its the Z1000 but with fairings

The ergos on that is a lot more relaxed when comparing it to the 2012 z1000 as well. IMHO though, I wouldn't spend $10k+ for a 2nd bike just so my girl can ride the back. Well maybe because I'm not loaded like that. The z is a great bike. I suggest for the op to take all 3 gens of the z on an extended test ride and see which is better. For the newer ones you'll notice the ergos are a lot more sporty.

I think its a great bike. And would buy one for a commuter in a heart beat. That or the same idea in the Yamaha.
