+1 on thinking that the 10 was going to lose by more than that. Just makes me love my 10R that much more. That 9R was getting it that's for sure.

kawi9 is a great mech and when it comes to turbos-its his porn. hes done so much work to that 9r from fabrication to fine tuning its amazing. given he had a 10r himself hed turn it into a monster for sure. the nice thing about the 9r is that it has plenty of room for an intercooler and other toys to hide under its skin, unlike my 10r.

The 9 was 100 pounds heavier than the 10.
I was pulling for the 10 to get more of a jump. Also, I think the 10 started in 3 or 4th gear???? Then short shifted his first shift. Check out the start. The rpms were low. Pretty lame race overall. Last edited by jcw; 01-19-2009 at 10:04 AM. |

Oh, it's my video.
I don't posted my video on ZX-10r.net, because i don't start a ''thread war'' between my 9 and 10 for nothing. It's 2 different bikes. Like some peoples know, i built all my kit and i upgrade at each winter. I have some threads in ZX9R section. We made this video only for do some tests for see the difference. We don't take to serious. It's just for fun. I want give more precision on the video. Like i worte in the video, my 9 is 100 pounds heavier than the 10. This difference weight is with riders. My 9 weight (wet) 466 pounds and the 10 weight (wet) 436 pounds. It' 30 pounds heavy than 10. My turbo kit add 40+ pounds and the 10 driver weight only 149 pounds. I'm 185 pounds. Then the total difference weight is 106(30+40+36) pounds. This extra weight killed a lot of horsepowers. I have need more whp than the 10 just for stay side by side. You have just to think when you have passenger on your bike. That killed a lot of the performance of the bike. If you want see what i want tell about the weight killed the performance, go to see the videos links. See 2 videos. It's a very good exemple. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/P...4-2_198049.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/video/P...s-v_198052.htm Also in my video, i ran 8 psi boost. Normally, i run 10-11 psi with this motor. It's my spare motor. I put my spare motor in my bike, when i working on my real turbo motor. My bike had +1 front and i have full exhaust in the video. With full exhaust, i lose 10+ whp. Also, when we started, i can't shifted the 2 to 3 gears in my best power band. Because, my front wheel up and i shifted the gear and the 10 take me 2-3 bike lenghts. Thanks hesaves0211 for compliments

Yes hesaves0211, It's true i have air/fuel gauge, but the gauge you see over my speedometer in the video is a EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) and the gauge show the temperature in celsius degrees (820 C = 1508 F).
