Yeah, brake discs are different part numbers between RR and R. And as far as I know, the RR wheels are not lighter than R wheels. So it's purely an aesthetic thing. They do look great though.

I am not sure if the fuel cap alone is responsible for the pressure equalization in the tank. There are 2 vents on the underside of the tank and I think a least one handles the pressure changes.

Are you sure it's the fuel pump? There is no way it would come on with the ignition off (key out). Even with ignition on, the pump doesn't randomly come on.

My gen4 went from 3 miles straight to the race track (and to the red line) and the bike has been nothing but reliable so don't overthink it. Make sure you get that tranny recall done though.
