Hi guys and gals. Long story short, my father passed and I'll have to be emptying out his garage. I'd much rather sell to someone here whole loves bikes and will use them than to haggle with clueless people during an estate sale.
1984 HONDA VFR750. Gone via will...
2x 1977 YAMAHA RD400F. Gone via will..
1992 HONDA CBR 900RR. $4,000 Details in further down postings.
2012 ZX-10R. $8,500 Details in further down postings.
My dad was a gearhead. He's naintained, built, and rebuilt these bikes constantly. He's tuned and built every motor etc, etc. There are dozens of boxes of bike parts. Dozens of wheels, tires, etc. He's the kind of guy who would replace things before they needed to and buy spares every time he saw one.
Man, sorry to hear about your father moving on like that. Good luck with finding those bikes a new home. But hang onto the fond memories of those and your dad with them!
The CBR 900RR is up and running, zero issues as expected. My father has rebuilt the motor several times (as he does to everything as 'preventative maint', added/tuned/upgraded everything as you would expect an old gearhead to do. His ONLY street legal ride.. extras, OEM wheel w/ mounted tire, a few spare tires, spare tank, spare fairing pieces, box of spare/new stuff.. Basically a very well taken care of 1st year CBR900RR w/lots of goodies. Pick it up at a steal for $4,000 located on Fort Lewis WA, or you pay shipping +$4k. I would sell it for more to the right buyer, but I have too much to deal with and just want it to go to a good home. I just received the death certificate, so I need to go get a title and it'll be a few days until I am able to officially sell and hand over a title.
I'm keeping the YZF600 as my race bike.

My Fathers will sadly gives away the rest of his bikes to an undeserving junkie (thanks to his 1983 will that he forgot all about....)
No idea about Wills in Washington State, but I know a great deal about them in Florida. Have you thought about speaking to an estate planning attorney about challenging the will?
Yeah, we have a family friend who owns her own firm near where I live and she's handling all of the estate stuff for us. I just handed her the will last night, so we'll see what she can do. She's the perfect lawyer for it since she grew up with my dad and the guy named on the will, so she knows he's a pos.
