Winter Riding

I hate having weather confine my enjoyment! I will grill when there is 3" of snow on the ground. Well I will ride add long as the roads are not wet and the current temp isn't under 22. The lat tune I rode when it was that child my clutch was sticking and made me really nervous. I got that fixed since then but I'm hating the 3 layers of clothes making my maneuvers very limited. I am liking at heated gear but not sure how I feel about being wired to my bike...so what are some of your winter riding tips?

Well.... Not sure really, had a oddly warm winter here in Ky this year. I was going to order heated gear, but when I went to family Christmas yesterday (50mile trip) I wore a hoodie, windbreaker, and my normal armor.
It was like 61F

Last year I rode my little 300, but Im not a fan of the ZX10 in the cold, it handles like garbage on cold roads

if weather report on top of Mr. Ham is 42f or lower I can't ride as black ice is a problem. I live in a tourist area (Big sur) which means switching loops to right on the coast is a problem as so many from other areas of the country or world are not used to us moving around them, so I avoid that loop. Weather here right on the Pacific coast has been frosty and icy EVERY morning for the last three weeks.

So, don't ride. Tires sure last long. lol Thank God that dec. 21 has arrived and gone by!

I've got my heated gloves and jacket. Works fine. Only got to use it once though. So damn warm.

No kidding man. I have jackets and hoodies and long sleeve shirts that are 7-10 years old and have only been worn like 6 times total. I mean I wouldn't mind a little cold weather to be honest.

.... Been riding in weather in the 30's..... But maybe I'm just crazy.

Usually I will just wear thermals and maybe put some hand warmer pads in the palm of my gloves.. May wear a heavy down coat too. But manuevering the bike isn't ever a problem but that may be do to height for me.
