Why not just fix the problem vs. putting a band-aid on it? Don't settle for "cheapo" stuff on your $8000 machine. Get the good stuff that's actually backed by dealers and is provided by a company with actual customer support & warranties...
Yes, name-brand fuel caps are overpriced, but you can either afford them or you can't. If you can't, stick with OEM. If you still want to go down that knock-off road you better hope for the best but prepare for the worst... Leaky fuel cap? Tank that sparks on impact? In the end what are you willing to risk?
PS: That scenario is probably unlikely, but on a lighter note, fuel will start eat away at your paint over time if you don't wipe it off do it for the paint if anything haha!
