Weight on the wrists is totally the wrong way to ride. Your weight should be supported by your core muscles. But whatever.
You should be able to lower them slightly. Just loosen the locating bolts and slide the clip-ons down. You can't go too far though or the levers will start interfering with the cowling sides. But you should be able to go a little bit.
Yes, no weight on wrists. I think you're riding tense so you have this problem.
