The Value is riding down the road on something you put together and worked on with your own two hands and for some of us that is very satisfying. I know for myself personally, working on a bike is my Zen time, its sheer meditation.

One day ill have a project like this, probably cafe and hopefully a KZ or something similar. There is just something fun about riding a small displacement machine at or near its max and the flickability of a smaller bike. Heck ive had fun on a 30mph scooter.

A genuine restoration would be awesome too. The factory lines on the older GPZís are just sexy. But I just had to pick it up for the $100 pricetag

Id be more than happy to be caught banging any of the broads currently listed in those pics Sebastian. Not enough Like Button for all that porn.

Anyone else notice how you could find a fairly cheap KZ 1K around 06 08? Then almost overnight they all got bought up for resto's and cafe projects? Damn near impossible to find a 1000 or 900 near me now that either hasnt been molested and stretched all to hell or they want $3K for some shitty roller thats a rusty basketcase. I'll probably have to travel for the one i want when/if the time comes.

Edit - fuk it im adding the GPZ to my list of project bikes to choose from. Honestly hadnt considered it til now.

They do make a gpz750 or higher. I donít mind the 550, took one out from a friend of mine and itís pretty gutsy for what I need it to do (light leisure Sunday ride)

Yup got one from eBay, but Iím still working a lot of different options for donor bikes. If I can find a donor bike with a running 750 (or higher) engine, then Iíll just throw it on the frame and call it good for the sake of getting it road worthy again.
