It’s funny how time’s arrow flies. Seems like only yesterday we were in a chill and rainy Milano for the big international motorcycle exposition, drooling over the showstopping new Ninja H2 SX SE with Sean Alexander and Brent J., knocking out non-award-winning videos and wondering what Kawasaki could possibly be thinking to produce such an outrageous motorcycle? Shirley it will be way expensive and unobtainable like the other H2s?
I got the opportunity to ride an H2 the other day... that bike is nuts. Absolutely ridiculous. I nearly kill myself on the ZX10R... I'd be dead in a week of owning such a beast. I can't wait to test ride one of these H2 SX's one day. I'm hoping it's more tame and less prone to wheelie in 5th gear...
No question that this bike is excellent; however the MAJOR problem is that no one will have the ability to keep tires on this bike since it's so freakin heavy. It's a superbike, as the math doesn't lie if numbers are accurate. Chain has to be at least 530 as 525 doesn't stand up to the 10r and 530 is good.
The ONLY problem: TIRES!!!!!! Due to the glutton syndrome. Gut feeling about tires is met rr m7 might last 2k miles but the front would toast a V inside 900 miles. On g4 I get 3k on rear when steel shows and maybe 2k miles on with dreaded V shape that caused flexibility
If Kawa gave me this bike for a year I'd give a ride report. I'm serious.
If you compare this bike to a zx14, concours 14, Harley, or Goldwing. Harley or Goldwing is silly, but even compared against other sport touring bikes, its not heavy.
its not heavy. People can deal with tire wear on the 14's, but this bike will wear out front tires in 900 miles?.
Buddy's 14r with full exhaust, filter, flash and my dyno tune with over 200hp gets about 3 to 4 times the mileage out of tires compared to scouts innacurate facts.
The info in Code's books will present a new attitude.
Also, if Code's super classes don't work, then take OTHER classes and use your own bike, if you have the 10r that would work.
