Phoenix area hwy 88 tortilla flat

Just a heads up to anyone plannng on taking a ride to hwy 88 by canyon lake/tortilla flat for some twistie goodness. Highway 88 is in horrible shape until you get past the restaraunt at tortilla flat. It's practically un ridable. I haven't been there since 2008 and was looking forward to riding it hard. Every 5-10 feet of pavement has a crack on the road suface that raises the pavement about 2-3 inches. 6 years ago it was smooth as pool table. So I decided to go to South mountain on the way home and that's closed due to construction. The only good twistie are on hwy 89A through Yarnell, Prescott and Jerome.
