my grandfather has an 89 it is a great bike I still like to ride it. what front end is on that bike and how hard was it to fit?

mine has the stock front end. i put progressive springs in it tho. softer for a more comfortable ride.

With the different paint on the bike not sure the exact year but can say for sure it's an 85/86 Ninja GPZ 1000R the predecessor to the 88-90 ZX-10.

It's Not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

the first year for this style i think was 86 ,the green bike was the scrap pile pic.the green paint was grabber green ,mopar . hea not to bad for a can job.the red bike below was a 87,sweet ride.both saw 170 on the speedo,554lbs smooth pass.

hahaha, thats a sweet bike!! along with the 2 green!!!

i finally got a collar made that ive needed, b/c its not made anymore, for the front axel. Now i gotta wait til after Xmas b/c the spot where im working on the bike is filled with the empty boxes for our xmas stuff.. errrrrrrrr.... lol. im also building a bike lift, well, not really a list, more like a couple platforms that are 2ft high, to work on the bike!!

That red/black 1000R is very nice, not many people today appreciate the original superbikes or the history that goes with them. I've had the opportunity to sell my 89 ZX-10 multiple times and haven't because it's still a blast to ride. I get the funniest reactions when I pass people on newer bikes; they'll stop and ask me what is it, and when I tell them its a 20 year old slow POS their mouths hit the ground. Quality entertainment
