Hooked mine up yesterday, sick as a dog with the flu, took 10 minutes total time. Couldn't ride it due to the med's I'm on but can't wait. Great write up, I think I had it figured anyways, but nice clear pictures and descriptions. Kudo's on the Good throttle Bad Throttle Vid's too, that little morsel could save someone's life.

No cutting for me, just loosened the lock nuts and gave her some more slack, still looks outta the box on top :)

I just installed mine yesterday. I opted to just cut the threads off since I had the tools out already. Fantastic mod. Best money spent in my mind!!!

01 ZRX1200 with 06 ZX14r throttle housing,
I installed the insert last night when I got home from work; the ride to work this mourning was great.

Thanks for a great product.

Yeah, good write up. 1st time I seen it.

Can't believe you have to cut lock nuts and threads off your cable. I don't much care for that.

Couple questions. What is the Riflemans insert made of? Also, How is it attached?

I made mine out of Nylon. PVC would have been fine, but I wanted to get a little more precise with what I wanted. I used some 4mm set screws to attach insert to throttle tube. Cut a groove for cable to sit in with a pencil grinder. Very simple to make and install. On my 08 I didn't modify "anything". Just adjusted the cables. Thats it. Mine had exactly
5/16" less turn than stock. Still had room to go bigger.

Here is a pic of mine.

Hell No! Mine is very touchy. Actually have it out right now cause I don't wanna bust my ass on a wheelie.

I have done this mod on my last bike and I did the procedure worked like a champ. I am doing it on my 04 and I have done everything cut the threads and the washers and I cannot get enough slack out of the accel cable. Any one else have any ideas? I am getting pissed because it was so easy to do on my my 05
