Got it to work, just had to loosen up the top bolt only.
that's right. some didn't have to cut anything, like me, and some had to cut off the lock nuts and part of the threads, which gives you about 1/8" - 1/4" extra. either way the procedure is VERY simple. i still haven't gotten to ride it though, well just around the block and the throttle felt a lot more responsive when first opening it, but that's all i could tell.

This weekend, Ive put on vortex rear sets, champs sliders, my woodcraft clipons from my 954, and the insert, and the scoche ipod remote. So hopefully it doesn't rain today or tomorrow morning before I have to head back to school so I can test it.

nice. i put on my 1/5 throttle, my nautilus horn and vortex rearsets. i haven't tried the new throttle, but the rearsets are amazing. so much easier to shift, and much more comfortable.

I am an hour and a half away from my bike, and I was wondering what the measurement is from the normal throttle tube to the end of the insert. I tried to draw a picture of what I am asking, I am wondering how far it is from the beginning of the red line to the end.

Yeah, its a pretty talented painting.
