$2800.00 for a Mac Book similar to what I paid $450.00 for in a Dell. I just cant justify that for on-line shopping, bill paying and moderating. I could see it if my job was seriously tied in but my company buys and supports everything I use for work. I'm not against the Apple. Although I really don't like the iPhone at all I really DO love my ipod, which in itself probably seems ancient at this point because of Bluetooth and cell phones.

I make my parents use a mac because they don't have what I like to call internet intuition and click on all kinds of dumb shit. I use a mac for law practice as well because I can sync my phone, iPad, desk top, and mac book air all together and take documents right from the office to my iPad or mac book in court, at Starbucks, or at home. But mac's are not cheap. But they are not 4x-5x more expensive for comparable hardware. Maybe 1.5 x more. Like I said I have windows solely for gaming but only because a lot of the games I and my son play are not offered for mac operating system. My buddy has a $5k mac for work. He is a high end wedding photographer 64gigs of ram and shit like that lol.

You quoted the wrong guy. I'm the one who held back calling everyone PC weenies and didn't start the Mac talk.

You just described 90% of the people who sit down at a computer.

I also use those $$$$$ Mac workstations at my day gig, cheaper/older version at home. Wife and I work in the graphics world so no PCs here. No gaming for me.
