You don't have enough posts yet to attack stuff like that. Upload it to YouBoob and post the link that way.

And just because the sensor turns off the FI light when plugged bank on doesn't tell you the switch is working. It just means the ECU sees it in the loop. I'll post troubleshooting for the switch shortly on that. And I'll wait for the video post to see what else it might be. The flashing FI light while cranking it is a telltale indication though.

Ok well i can't post a video and don't really wanna accept youboob's terms n conditions to be able to post one there but if I must I will.. can you tell me how to troubleshoot the tilt sensor?? I bought a used one on eBay but it still acts the same.. everything lights up and it'll crank over but you never hear whine or noise from ecu , and Fi light flashes when turning over but doesn't change when sensors held sideways or straight up so I'm not sure if it's related or not... Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks
Jerad

Firstly are you shore youve got the power commander wire on the correct terminal of the bettery?
Secondly you must put positive lead on the battery first. If you put negative on first it can cause problems.
Remove leads for a min then try again

Wow if that was it I'd quit working on stuff but power Commander is out of equation I unhooked it already and back to stock until I figure out problem... And I always hook positive first then neg, so that's not it.. and all wiring/connector's/ plugs. I've found has been good... What's the odds my ecu went out?? How would I test it?? All help is greatly appreciated!!!! What all would cause my Fi light to flash when turning motor over? Thanks again jerad

You should go back over the posts on this thread and try the steps that were suggested. If you already tried them, let us know the results.

1) Result of fuel pump direct wire? suggested by Cyemm

2) Result of entering diagnostic mode to check FI light codes? suggested by michael4012 and SkyDork

These will tell you a lot about your current fault.

Instructions to check FI codes are on a sticky thread at the top of performance and tech and linked in SkyDork's post above.

Ok well I've started stripping bike down so I can get to wiring and test but have yet to find anything ... Does anyone know what would cause Fi light to flash lwhen turning over... Ecu does tell fuel pump to turn on. But butterfly's don't move and can't hear ecu make whine like normal when you turn key on... Fi light only flashes when turning over , other than that it's off and throws no codes ... Any ideas on what to try next?? All help is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks

Does anyone know what it would act like if my immobilizer went out or key lost its mojo that the immobiliser recognizes?? I'm just throwing ideas out there, it actually has done this exact same thing to me a few times right after I bought it (only had it maybe 6 months now) but it went away by just turning off and back on several times and cranked it over some times and then it'd make that whine that tells me ecu is working and it was fine but never took over 2 minutes... Didn't like it but couldn't pin point it or what made it start working again .. tried giggling wires and switches but now it's just not working!!! I'd like to find a way to test ecu or how nice would it be to have a known good one to throw in and test... Anybody close to Southern Indiana with a gen 1 ?? lol

from actual experience ive had 2 busas doing the same thing, no fuel pump prime and no start sporadically at times. both were ignition switches, and both cured for couple of years now by spraying contact cleaner and wd 40 into the ign switches themselves lol .also have had a couple of gen1 zx10's doing exactley what yours is doing, both were the common ground junction box in the main wiring harness located just next to the harness connector to the fuel pump. one corroded, one burnt. boxes are taped up square in appereance plastic housings that have to be unwrapped, pried open to inspect. bad ground causes a multitude of problems, but was problem both times with same symptoms as ur having. main ground box is connected directley to end of battery negative cable, with multiple system ground wires coming off of it. seriousley doubt ecu bad, first thing is to is get fuel pump/pc powered back up, this could well be problem, it was for me.

Ok well unhooked fuel pump connector and jumped it out pump came on (guess that's the noise I was used to) but wouldn't start, same thing it'll turn over and Fi light flashes while cranking but no start... And I took apart ground junction and it looks like new , so nothing there, what's next ?? I'm kinda stumped... Any ideas out there?? Does anyone know the test for an ecu or the immobiliser system?? I did test tilt switch and its working as it should ( like 4v until it's tilted almost 90 deg then down to 1v on feedback wire) so ruled that out. Help !! lol. Any suggestions are appreciated greatly!! What all causes the Fi light to flash while turning over?? It doesn't throw any codes when grounding the test connector so no help there either... Thanks
