Making first gear lower, I know is an issue on later year models. The problem is that modifying the final drive this much makes drastic changes to the other gears as well.

For the basic rider, the constant wheelies can be deadly. I see a lot of these bikes changing hands often with low mileage. They tend to be too much unbridled engine, and scare the shit out of the owners.

So for track and trick riding, definitely an issue. For the rest of us, these bikes are fast enough.. .

My gen 3 guzzles gas like a fighter plane. Will be great to get a slightly higher ratio, and corresponding better mileage. Just like a Tesla owner, I'm in constant search mode for places to fill up is offline

Got my new Spitta sprockets and ThreeD 520 chain coming this week after the stock chain has finally developed a couple tight spots after 22,000km. Dropping to 15/38 with the 520.
