External FI light

Hello all!

I've got a technical question to which I have not been able to find the answer.. If there is an answer.. Well, shame on me then.

Right - I've got a gen1 ZX-10R and want to mount a gen2 dash on it. I've already found the tutorial for it (which is amazing bytheway!).

But I seem to recall that when you do the swap the FI light stops working. Is there a way to let it still work, or perhaps build a FI light yourself? For example you mount an LED somewhere or something...

Looking forward to your thoughts :)

Kind regards,
Lukas

It's an LED, there's only 2 wires for it - power and ground. It should work just fine if you get the pin-outs right.

I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.

Ridding the Internet of bad grammar, 1 post at a time.

Yea exactly what I thought.. Even the pin on the gen2 gauge cluster vs the gen1 cluster is identical so I'm a bit puzzled as to why the FI light won't work when a gen2 cluster is placed on a gen1 cluster..
