do we need this??

do we need all this? evaporative emissions control system? I would love to get rid of it if possible to clean up the front end of unnecessary parts. keep in mind im woolich custom tuned with full system akrapovic

Usually this will be on a CA bike with all the emissions crap strict laws. Remove all that and install block off plates.

Indeed. That stuff is only on the California bikes on the Gen 4. All G5s have them though. If you have it, then you have a Cali ride. It can be removed as Belkins described.

I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.

where do block off plates go? is that easy? probably easier to leave it if it doesn't hurt performance

Doesn't hurt performance at all.

The block off plates are something different then what you
are looking at.

What you are looking at is a simple closed loop system
for fuel emissions.

That's the charcoal canister that's tied into the
gas tank and back into the fuel system allowing
fumes to either be filtered out through the canister or
recirculated back into the fuel system.

The only by product of removing would be venting
your gas tank directly into the air, possibly extra gas
fumes in the garage.

The positive is a whole pile of hoses and crap removed.

Since there is no emission testing you could remove.
Normally removing canister would cause a failure of
emissions testing.

No they are used for blocking off the fresh air from the air box that is bleed into the exhaust ports to fool the lambda into thinking that all off the exhaust gasses have burned

geezzzz... Not only is your post incorrect it contains a argumentative tone.

The OP is clearly asking about the evap system by name and also including
a diagram.

Did you read the original post?

The OP is not asking about "block off" plates or anything to do with the PAIR valve.

Perhaps your bike does not have the evap system so you do not know what it is, so you just decided to post about something else.
