Iv installed the pistons and set the piston to valve to 0.1000 on ex and in but the clearance from the cam to valve seems a lil to much is that normal

how did u adjust ptv clereance. valve clereance is seperate procedure. measure valve lash adjust shim thickness to specs.think u may need to go back to stk cam sprocket holes, the stock settings, and align stk cam timing marks.

I used the clay method to get the Ptv clearance and changed the shims to smaller ones when needed to get more ptv clearance and the cams are set at stock sprocket marks

need to readjust valves to spec. ur safe with those wiseco's at anything over .050 int, the exhaust needs .060+ as the exhaust side of the piston rocks up at tdc tightening ex ptv. measure piston to head carefully, usually requires stk. .027 or very close hg for same reason, ex side of piston will contact head at high rpm.

It's a point worth mentioning what Gaz, has quoted. After market pistons all of em, including the nikasil coated to fit, are a loser fit than stock, so rods being equal they do rock more and do require greater squish and greater ptv.
