Gen5 OEM Showa Shock - Like New

I have a Gen5 shock that I won't need. It's pretty much new as you can see in the pics. Includes the clevis shown.

It would likely be a small upgrade for an OEM Gen4 shock.

$100 shipped OBO

Shock is still available. Could be a great and cheap upgrade to your Gen4, as OEM Gen4 shock is not up to par. Direct bolt-on.

Its very cheap. Why hasnt it sold? If it was uk id buy it as a spare. Its not a straight fit in a gen4 though. You need to change the link plates

The shocks are the same length, 309mm. Why wouldn't it fit?

The plates are completely different shape and you cannot fit the shock in the gen4 without plates.
Ive male conversion plates purely to overcome this.
Shocks are actually 1 or 2mm different on length. Cant remember off the top of my head

Why bother. Ive been there and done it.
Ive sold 40 sets of link plates all over the world for this shock conversion.
The shock is 2mm shorter than gen4 and half a coil extra on the spring so softer spring. Gen5 is about 200 grams lighter than a gen4 and offers much better damping.
It would be way too soft anyway even if it did bolt up as link ratios are different with this shock.
My links v gen4 links;

Very cool! Thanks for all the R&D.

So given that OEM Gen4 linkage is crap anyway, this Gen5 shock along with ukzx10r's developed linkage would be a substantial, yet affordable, upgrade to a Gen4.
