I only see it as cardio.. but not to build muscles.
Have some friends that have it and say it's pretty good.

i have to run the fat bodies for my unit and every mon wed and fri i run the dog piss out of them 1st thing in the morning. it does two things 1, increases their energy throughout the day and 2, wakes up their metabolism. The marine corps height and weight standards are ridiculous imo.

Im 5'9''... one year ago I weighed in at 216, 36 inch waist... the biggest (fattest) ive ever been. After making some hardcore changes in my diet (sticking to a diet I created), after 3 months I was down to 184.

Im Still at 184, 32 inch waist. Recommended the diet to some guys I work with and they lost weight as well.

Its all about will-power.

9am: Banana and non fat yogurt

12pm: Chicken breast and brown rice

3pm: piece of fruit

6pm: Chicken breast, brown rice, vegetable of choice.

Snacks throughout the day consist of handful of raw almonds, raisins, or any fruit or vegetable.

Water and 1 cup of coffee only.

It's not exciting at all. But you get used to it pretty quick, and soon can't imagine eating crap like fast food.

Honestly, I lost all of the weight without exercise. It's amazing how diet alone can make such a big difference.

I try to get to the gym though, and when I do, I usually do 30mins on the treadmill, then weight training.
