lol......I never counted calories or kept track of my diet. I'm not the dude in the gym carrying a big ass gym bag with a pencil an notepad takin notes of what I'm doing. lol.....I just can't do it! At the most you gonna see me with my gloves and my bottle of propel fitness water that's it.
In the morning I usually eat like 3-4 waffles or pancakes or sometimes 2 bowls of cereal. For lunch eat a turkey/chicken sandwhich with a banana, an granola bar. And drink water all throughout the day. And at nite I might eat some fish or some rice.

The reason I ask is most people say they drink a lot of water and eat lots of protein but once you write it down you'll see you are not consuming as much as you think.
When I was 'big' I ate over 325 grams of protein a day and drank 1 - 1.5 gallons of water.
zig I would question your protein intake and start there - you may also want to take a look at your fats - try to slow the process down a bit (i.e. Almonds, Omega Oil, etc).
Track what you eat for a week with:
Time, Quantity, What it was as well as water intake and send it to me, I am by no means a professional but hsve been around a while.

Bsed on what you wrote you get less than 80 grams of protein a day and you should try and get 1 gram per pound of bodyweight. If you simply ate what you are eating and increased your protein intake with shakes/tuna/eggs you wouldn't be fighting to keep weight on - your workouts would have a much more profound effect on you body. I work with a hardgainer (6' tall 148 pounds) and we recently increased his protein and have had amazing results - he is never going to be a muschlehead but his 6-8 pounds he has put on in the last 10 months looks huge on him.
The body is like an engine 0 you can do all the work in the world to it but if you don't give it more fuel it will have no more power - body is the same.
I'm 5' 10" @ 205lbs...I want to go back to 175-185 but it's like trying to win the loto..I use to work out so my 205 don't look that bad

Wouldn't a person need to find out what the calorie intake that they have now then either increase or lower it to what they want?Went to the gym to get my bodyfat% read and Im at 27% and I was told that because of my race that my bodyfat% should be way lower then that because Black people have the heaviest bones so we should have a lower bodyfat % reading(He said around 10-12%),and that Asian people have the lightest so they can have a more higher bodyfat%(around 23-27%).He said for me to maintain why weight i needed to be around 3500-4000 calories a day,and if i wanted to get to 185lbs I need to be around 2000-3000 to lose weight and still maintain Mass, said it would take me about 3months to get there. My problem is that it's not good clean food that is my intake.I have read that you have to measure out the serving's cuz if you go over the serving's it double's everything on there?
I have started with just drinking water and not having any drinks with sugar.

i have a question for you guys that are into working out and fitness.
i was bigger than average my whole life. last year at this time i weighed right about 280. i am now down to 215.
the background to how i lost the weight; i was in school and working full time. i woke up around 7, went to class from 8 to 11. clocked on at 11:30, drank a rockstar/full throttle energy drink. got off work around 8:30 or 9. went home and did homework, sometimes ate a little something, sometimes just went to bed. this was my routine almost everyday. i know this was not the healthy way to lose weight but it worked. i went from 280 to about 225 from september to about march. after i graduated from college i kind of leveled off and quit losing weight. got married in may and have gotten down to 215 now. i want to get down to about 200.
the problem i have, which i hope someone can help me with is, alot of my weight was in my stomach, and while it has gotten smaller, most of my weight is still there. i started to work out and did it for about 3 weeks but never could get into a rhythm with it. i want to lose this gut that i still have but it seems like its not going away with just weight loss and with only 15 pounds to my goal weight.

FEELING LUCKY, PUNK ?
I totally agree when people say EXERCISE is the way to a healthy life.
Here's why:
My first job was as a laborer at the newspaper packaging company (NPC).. I was a part time worker but my hours IN A WEEK ranges from 40-60 hours.. way more than a full time job..
Anyway.. my job was to take bundles of newspaper coming out of the conveyor, strap them and stack them into carts or pallets. The carts are in the 7-10 feet high.. I did this for about 3 years.. and I LOST WEIGHT like I was on pills!!!
My lightest I have ever recorded was 178 lbs!! 178 lbs..!! im not kidding...!!!
And then I started working as an IT specialist and the line of work changed from stacking papers to pretty much sitting my ass off 8 hours a day... It was a huge change for me.. I dont exercise or whatever because back then.. lifting papers was more than enough...
For the 5 years I worked sitting down.. I easily gained close to 70 lbs as I am now in the range of 240-245 (depending on what I eat)...
thats 70 lbs!! almost as much as a little girl added to my weight! Right now, I'm planning to take a second job.. pretty much labor.. i dont need the cash.. i just need the exercise.. I need to lose those 70 lbs!! the extra cash is a plus :)

Some people told me that WII FIT actually works.. can anyone here confirm ?
I only see it as cardio.. but not to build muscles.
