2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Rendering

if the '12 looks even close to this i'm trading up.

from motor trend:
"Subaru Tecnica International (STI) is currently beefing up an STI model based on the new 2012 Impreza and soon-to-be released WRX. Expect to see a more muscular physique with wide shoulders and hindquarters. Handling benefits from a broader track, a heavily revised suspension, and an aggressively returned all-wheel-drive system.
Brakes will definitely be upsized, as will the forged wheels. Both will help cope with the 300-plus-horsepower output from what we believe will be a turbocharged 2.5-liter derived from the new FB20-engine series. When it hits dealers sometime late next year, you can bet it will be the most powerful STI sedan ever, and likely the most efficient."

Always loved the Subi WRX's until they fooked up the front ends. I think one of these and a new 10R would look good next to each other in a garage.

At its core, the Ninja ZX-10R is a motorcycle built for the accomplished rider who can fully appreciate its capabilities--whether put to the test at a racetrack, or merely the focus of bench-racing conversation. It is, by all standards, the embodiment of the ultimate superbike.

I've always loved the way WRX's looked, and sounded too!!!
Doubt it will look exactly like it, but even close looking I'd imagine would be very sexy!!!

Not happening, the WRX and STi will keep the same body for awhile. They just came out with the STi sedan again in 2011. Expect it to be same until atleast 2013 if not longer. They began doing 3yr runs of the body (08-2010). I did read that the WRX and the STi will be no longer based on the Impreza starting in 2014. Also, the Evo is DONE as of 2012. They are going diesel and bigger, more luxury(Mitsubishi). Subaru may only have Hyundai as a competitor for street legal rally cars. Hyundai may release an AWD turbo car in 2012.

Big WRX fan here. I like the looks of that but I doubt Subaru will be going that crazy in 2012.
