On my '14 zx10, I carry a spare helmet for a passenger sometimes. When its hanging, it rubs right on the edge where the shape of the tail changes direction and wore through the paint. How can I avoid this? Im going to get a new tail section since I dont want my paint messed up, but I need to figure out how to avoid this first. Sorry pic is a little big.
Its not from the strap. Its from the helmet itself leaning against there while riding. I hate putting a helmet there, but Im not taking a passenger on without one.
LOL..
A guy once asked me "I don't know what to do, I like to ride with jeans and my belt buckle is scratching the fuel tank! it annoys me and I don't know what to do about it! is there some fuel tank pad to prevent it from happening?"
I didn't know what to say as my bike was 3ft away from him with that pad...
Part is so cheap I'd just forget about it and get a new one later on.
