One of the craziest throttle issues I had was on a dirt bike. After a long time of fighting it, I determine it sticks when the bike gets hot. Two cables later, I have the same problem.

Turns out my aftermarket pipe ran too close to the cable. As it warmed up, the cable sheath got sticky, and stuck my throttle. When it cooled down, the problem disappeared.

I built a heat shield and never had the problem again.

For the record, the one time i went down i consciously tried to stay with the bike. I think in some weird way i thought it would slow us both down faster, and i think it did. I just hear that bologna a lot lol.

R.I.P. Corner man Goofy. Thats kinda thankless job, no?

Good stuff rcannon, something to look at for sure.

I don't. I did pit next to the guy after it happened. I wouldn't have known except one of his buddies told me. A shame about Goofy though. He was a really nice guy and although I didn't really know him he would talk with me for a few minutes nearly every track day before he took his post. Just one of those things you would never think could happen until after it does.
