How to De-Cat Gen2 with Pics

First remove your belly fairings and locate the Mid-pipe.

Then remove the 6 allen head screws, i had alotta problem as i went about doing this the lazy way as i did not want to remove the whole exhaust. most of the screws stripped but i was able to get em loose with WD40 and vice grips.

Once removed I used a 1" paddle bit to tear out all of the coil like metal inside the pipes. I did get mine alot cleaner than the pics show.

After i got it back on the bike i then thought to myself well i should have enough room to put a hex headed bolt instead of a crummy allen head. So a trip to fastenall helped. With a 10mm bolt exactly same threads and length! re install those and your good to go. Just thought this may help someone as i completely did not know it was this easy. Almost bought a $130 pipe to do the job. Heck it was maybe $5 to do this? thats if you have to buy a paddle bit and bolts.

Also very sry for how this posted pics this is my first tutorial post.:iamwithst

Well glad it helped i would def recommend changing to the hex headed bolts, much easier to get a wrench on em and not worry about stripping them

How will it run without a tune for that?

I am not sure how it will run without a tune, im sure some slight lose in response. When i De cat my 07 R6 i didnt have any tuners and i was really trashy feeling. But i got a map on my PC3 to help on the 10r.

All the bolts on my Cat have worn away, I cant use an allen key on any bolts and my pliers cant turn the bolts either :( Sprayed WD40 and it did not budge.
