Our inserts are threaded to tier baffling but it comes at the expense of horsepower. The more you sound or throttle it down. We usually recommend the "cat back" setup which is nearly identical to stock sound with the insert and just a tad louder without it.

If you need another insert call us on the phone and mention this post and your screen name and we'll discount another for you.. Thanks for the business.

I would like to know more about the "tier baffling" part. Does that mean I can screw in different lengths of pipes? I understand the loss of HP and I would not run the baffle at any track that is unrestricted. Only on the sound restricted tracks. I noticed the threads (before it went airborne) and wondered what they were for. :) Sorry this is a little off-topic, but still related. Thanks for the help!

TDH
The threaded section is designed to adapt different lengths and shapes to the internal section of the silencer. We also use this insert to adapt the Graves spark arrestor for the YXZ 1000 side X side pipe.
Missing Insert I suggest that you use Green Loctite if you had a problem with this. I have never used Loctite on any of the units tested at Graves and have never had one come loose. However some users have.

Regards
Chuck

Thanks Chuck. I'm not sure if I still understand the threaded part (sorry). If I call up to order another silencer can I also order a pipe (6" or so) that will thread into that silencer?

Sorry to hijack this thread (although any answer would be of interest to non-USA forum users) but how did you buy your Graves Cat Eliminator?

I've tried PM'ing them on this forum (no reply), emailing sales@gravesport.com (it instantly bounced back claiming it was SPAM; I didn't mention Viagra or claim to be the finance minister of Nigeria so I don't know why) and filling in the contact form on their website after it said I couldn't place an order for International delivery without contacting them.

I'm in the UK and would really like to buy one but it seems to be a pretty hard process.

Any suggestions?

Just a followup to the above.

I tried one last time to contact Graves but this time emailed online@gravesport.com.

This must have got through as they sent my details to Bombay Motorsports who are willing to ship Internationally.

Here's hoping :)

We had better check our spam settings! Sorry,
Bombay is a good option for international sales of Graves products.

Garage
I just got the graves exhaust installed yesterday and I just noticed that mine didn't come with a silencer. Is that how they come?
