Gen5 ,T-body sync

I had to replace a T-body because the bike starting to had bad hesitation when you get on the throttle. After installation, I did a T-body sync for idle. Although it made the Idle smooth, it did help on On/Off throttle too. I didn't think that it can make so much different on the smoothness of throttle transition.

I use a motion pro tool for synchronization. first had to calibrate the tool by connecting all 4 vacuum hoses from the tool to the hose from the T-body to EVAP system. start the bike and run it at idle and by turning the screws on the tool adjust all 4 port height the same.

After that connecting hoses on the tool to each port and run the bike at idle again and adjust each port tell all the bars on the tool are the same height. because I have woolich and setting the idle higher than a stock bike had to turn the screws out more till I get the correct vacuum.

I always wondered how a T-body sync worked. Thanks for posting!

2013 ABS, Bridgestone T30 Evo, Woolich, Danmoto shorty & link, Rifleman's 1/5th turn, K&N, GP shift, Gen5 shock/links/dogbone, JT (-1/+0), EK, Shorai, EBC HH, AllBallz roller steering, heated grips, shorty levers, MotoDynamic signals & relay, plasti-dipped and vinyl wrapped (all green to black), Bestem carbon, PUIG Pro sliders, solo cowl, modded sprocket cover, TST fender elim. w/LEDs. 45,000km+ and going strong!

Isnt it a scary thought that the position of the throttle bodies is controlled by a motor.
I know its the way forward for performance but look whats happened to casey stoner and john mcguinnis on the hondas in the past.
I hope they dont start failing soon with higher milage.
Its one of the reasons i stuck with the gen4 as i dont like the on off throttle of the gen5.
Or the suzuki for that matter

well, this one failed with only 3000 miles on the bike, 1600 dollars part and there is no way I could of repair it , Kawasaki only sells it as one unit.

Blimey 3000 is low milage for a failure like that.
What happened when it failed?

Bad hesitation when getting on the throttle, No code , TPS checked out ok and throttle sensor checked out ok too, so it must be been the motor.

as i said everything checked out ok took me a long time to check everything from the map to ignition coils, the only way i got to the conclusion of being the throttle body was to replace it with a good known part.

Even if the TPS or any other sensor was bad on the T-body, I didn't have any choice, the T-body is one unit and TPS and throttle sensor are set from the factory with the motor.
