Dropping Power/Cylinder Issue with PC V

This is a thread in an attempt to curb all the double posting as well as provide a centralized solution for individuals to find what they need to do to correct the issue...

So you are riding your 4th Gen and feel a cylinder drop out while riding and your inline 4 now feels and sounds like you're riding a twin. This is happening irregardles of what you were doing and how long you have been riding. The problem seems to come and go, uncommanded.

What's wrong?
-There is an issue in the firmware versions that is causing one of the cylinders to drop off and basically stop functioning.

How to fix?
The only two verified ways to stop the issue, is upgrade your Dynojet firmware to either the 1.6.10 or 1.9.2 versions. If you have a Secondary Fuel Module (SFM) this will need to be updated as well.

Where can you get the firmware versions?

You can get the latest official release from Dynojet:

These versions are hosted separately. Testing results are in bold. (Updated 27JUL13)
1.6.10 --> https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...0V0.1.6.10.zip Confirmed to work
1.9.0 --> https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...o_V0.1.9.0.zip Issue still potentially exists with this version, use 1.9.2 instead!
1.9.2 --> https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...o_V0.1.9.2.zip Confirmed to work
1.10.4 --> https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/..._v0.1.10.4.zip Untested as of 27JUL13
1.10.6 --> https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...1.10.6.pvu.zip Untestested as of 14JAN14 --> http://www.powercommander.com/downlo...5_v1.0.6.4.zip

Good info. :ayyy:

I might add that the latest firmware versions are also available for download on DynoJet's website.

I really appreciate this info, just ran into this problem yesterday with a newly installed PCV/Autotune. Downloaded and installed 1.6.10 for an upcoming track weekend. No time for longer street ride to test but from reading the original thread I feel pretty confident it will work fine.

UPDATE: older firmware worked perfectly, this site is awesome!

these links no longer work. Will the latest firmware update from this year work?

Links should be up now.

Side note, new firmware up. Version (no change log).

-Added Dynojet's site with the latest firmware version
-Uploaded and linked latest firmware to Dropbox. Linked it in the original thread.

Oro Valley huh? I'm in Globe.
I'm running version 1.6.10 on mine and yes it has resolved engine cut-out kinda.
Instead of it cutting a cylinder constantly for a brief period of time, I get intermittent cut-outs only in 1st at or around 2500RPM.

Track day coming up next weekend and I'm still trying to get it all right.
Any tips/tricks/help?
