Who flashed it? I've had multiple Gen 4's and 5's on the dyno and I have yet to see a Gen 5 make less hp than a 4. Usually a 5-6hp difference on pump gas.

You'd be remiss not to do a compression and leak down test on it and compare it to a known sample (preferably one of those similar bikes that is up on power).

In addition to that, you could run a fun little experiment: put stronger clutch springs in there. It's cheap and easy to do, and I've seen it yield measurable performance gains more often than it does not. ;)
realpsi and Victors like this.

Attack life... it's going to kill you anyway.

did the dyno run.... the client did not want a base run, he just wanted to have the bike tuned...

before was a gen4.. piece of crap 175, a gsxr 1000 2013 170 after reflash and tune, then he got 198hp, then I wanted to test some things on my bike gen4 (not stock) did 192.

I'm assuming you started with a de-restriction run first.. So where did the 5th gen start for power before yuou finished tuning?

What mods did it have?

Mind if I ask What You did for total timing at 100% throttle?

Oh.. And what fuel?

victors, unfortunately I have to satisfy clients first, then satisfy my curiosity later...

I did not touch the timing since the timing was OK at 32 on the top end... usually gen4, I use 32 and in my bike 31.

bike had filter (bmc) and a decat slip on.

normal fuel from pump 93.

to give you an idea, on that dyno.... brentune, full exh bmw 16 makes 191, a panigale 1299 stock 178, reflash 197 reving the shit out of the pani. (I was shiting myself reving +1000 rpm and that bike kept making power.)

I you want
email me.

motoseteo@gmail.com

Can send you the pics of the maps I used.... no secrets here in this forum.
