2011 zx10 check engine light

I have a flashed ecu, the other day I got some 92 gas and ever since then my bike has been acting up, I've ran the 92 gas out and filled up on 93 but check engine light still comes on, I start it and it idles high for a few seconds and then idles normal but the light stays on, I can cut it off start it back up and the light goes off, anyone ran into this issue also?

Pull the error code. Only way to know what is causing the error.

What do you mean by 'acting up?'

It just cut off at a light that happen once, and on the start up it will idle around 3500 to 4000 rmp for a few seconds then idle down, its never did that before the 92 gas, and the check engine stays on when you start it and I turn it off turn it back on and the light go off.

The red light on the side is an oil pressure light. If the engine stalled out, this light coming on is normal (engine not running = no oil pressure). Unless you get the "FI" tag on the LCD along with the red light, there is no error. If the engine stalled out, the secondary throttles might have been in an open position which caused the high idle surge on restart.

Unless this condition is repeatable and there are no other indications of problems, forget about it and move on.

I know this post was a long time ago, but my 2011 zx10r is doing the EXACT same thing. My ecu is flashed by GUHL motors and out of nowhere i noticed on a cold start my bike starts up normally. When the engine is warm, it will start and rev up to about 4k rpms for like 3 seconds than right down to normal rpms. The FI light comes on sometimes and sometimes it does not. So weird. I need to get it fixed as I am trying to sell my bike.

This bikes are very very very delicate, about having a clean tight connection in the ECU....

Have taken the ECU out to reflash other bikes and the a nightmare starts, like gremlins living in my bike....

take the ECU out, contact cleaner and its nice again...
