Gen 2 06 rear shock swap zx14

I've done a bit of research and it seems it's possible to swap out a Gen 2 rear shock for a zx14?

Can anyonw confirm this?

Zx14 shock will be perfect for my weight 80kg/175lbs and a cheap up grade.

Honestly, you could possibly be causing more issues than curing. Valving is going to be different and the 14r has a fairly stout spring compared to the 10r. A rear spring is about $120. Well worth spending that vs the time, frustration, and possible tires trying to make a 14r shock work.

Stupidity and Motivation are a dangerous combination

Thanks for the words of advise.

I was thinking of just changing the spring but thought the ZX14 shock and string was already suited to me.

I'll look for a spring with the right rating for 80kg rider.

Thanks again
