same thing at MAM in Iowa. Wet. not worth to ride in those conditions. You are really not gaining anything. So much to loose and so little to gain. Glad to hear the rider is ok though.

Yeah one of them things that sucks for sure, Gotta have some of that rain insurance or whatever they call it. I would love to ride in the wet and work on being smooth but not silling to risk my bikes that is for sure. At least the Guy was ok, which is what matters most.

Well i had a blast on the wet track just didnt push it quite so hard on the tires had some predictable slides & wiggling around but all was good. yeah he came over Alpha at HPT Topeka & didnt make turn one went straight off the track & when he hit the grass & mud it was all over with then. Dont know how fast he was going topping the hill but I was topping it from 120 wet in 4th gear to 150 dry on my ZX10r. I know my son was on my 01 GSXR 600 track bike & he was doing all that wet or dry.But he has no fear & is one of those kids with Natural abillities & it shows on the track.

It happens..........we ride'em, we wreck'em. Totaled, don't think so. Riding on a wet track teaches throttle control.......gotta go easy. With those tire, gotta mind you p's and q's.

Dont know if was turned into Ins to b honest. Yes it does, some people have the knack to ride in the wet some people dont.I had no issues but I wasnt gonna push it harder than I should on my street bike. Just enough to have fun  Thats what my trackbike is for but my 20yr old son was riding it.

I've run wet tracks at Barber and at Mid-Ohio, and I can tell you from experience, I'd far rather run Barber in the rain. I and several others can attest to that with our repair bills. Mid-Ohio is super awesome in the dry, but is slick as can be in the wet. That sealer on the track is treacherous when it is wet....and I'm not talking about the snakes they put in the asphalt cracks....I'm talking about the whole track surface. But in the dry...if you haven't run Mid-Ohio, you have an experience you'll never regret.
