I recently picked up an 06 zx10r, 18k miles, mainly stock cept for the 2 bros pipe. I sold my 04 zx10r 8k miles, Arka slip, PC3, GPR stabilizer, 1/5th throttle, HID lights, DB Zero Grav screen, steel brake lines, new pirelli rosso tires to a gentlemen about 3 months ago for 5,900.00. Since then he's only put about 400 miles on it. He comes by my house today and sees my 06 and asks to trade....straight up. What would you do? 2004 zx10r 8400 miles GPR stabilizer new Rosso tires PCIII 1/5th Riflemans insert Zero Grav DB Steel brake lines seat cowl 15t front HID Headlights Powder coated rear sets Akra slip on 2006 zx10r 18k miles 2Bros exhaust seat cowl Both are in mint condition. Would you trade? I picked up the 06 for slightly lower than what I sold my 04 for. Oh yeahr, both are the fast color!

Mileage wise, the 04 I see it as a win/win no matter which way I go, I was just trying to get a general idea of what someone else would do. Herb, you were supposed to get me back about the PC of white rims man! lol The PC on the 04 is the work you done on it. A++++ But if I send off my parts to get PC this time, will you promise NOT to forget one of my brackets? LOL

No taxes needing to be paid, just registration. I'm sort of on the same boat as you were KPM, gen 1 to gen 2 back to gen 1. I don't think he's messed anything up on it, I'm the only one that works on his 04. I bought the 06 to resell. So I'm trying to think what both of the bikes are really worth. I'm thinking the about the same considering the mileage on the 06 and the mods and low miles on the 04.

Yeah, unfortunately they have both about bottomed out. I will say this and I never brought it up before, but the seat angle mixed with extra jacket length would occasionally pinch my dick when I changed lean angles and startle me. I sure don't miss that.

Get 04 back, i personally didn't like the second gen with the wheel barrow handles for pipes. Just my opinion though.

They both are great rides. They both put a smile on my face because no matter which Gen it is, it's wayyyy better than driving a cager.

No...1st Gens get No RESALE value or respect by some..they are like junk vaule...the only time they get respect is when 6yrs later you buy a new bike and get taken down by one OLD BiKE...it's also going to be a Classic one day as well for starting all this HIGH HP Light weight stuff....I really think you don't need a 1st Gen anymore IMO. :wink: bloo
