: The power got to me :P
vag05 05-25-2005, 04:00 AM Hey all, new to this forum but been keeping up to date with all your
knowledge and information that you've given in the forums
just want to say thanks
now down to what happened
i've been riding all sorts of bikes since a young age.. Yamaha 600F 95", Yamaha 1300 RoyalStar 98'', Suzuki 600 GSX-R 03'' and of course.. my girlfriends zx-6r 03''....
i feel i have a bit of experience of riding bikes under my belt.. well enough as i think i do
to start it off.. i was down at the local shops with some friends of mine and my gf and eating some lunch (we had taken her zx down to the shops, cause my 1300 has a uncomfortable rear seat) after lunch she catches a ride with my brother and my friend takes her place and rides b*tch seat behind me.. down the road we go and cruising around, down a local street and we come to a set of lights and i'm in the second row of cars and want to be in front, as per usual... so when the lights go green i take off.. and one of the other cars is faster than the other... i pull in behind him, hit 2nd and keep following for about another 5 seconds.. i see 60kmph has come up and thats the speed limit on that road... he jumps a little bit in front and i over take him at 108kmph, next thing i know there a cop that jumped out from know where trying to wave me down, within a split second i've zoomed passed him and kept going, i turn to my mate and ask him was that cops, he nodded and the game was on (well i really panic'd).... i axe it down the road and turn into my street, flogged it and was doing wheelies at past a car with only a 1.5m gap between the car and the gutter... up the hill still doing a wheelie at about 150+ and i get home and stash the bike.....
fun ride getting away from the cops... thought that i was free cause they didnt have a camera with them...boy was i wrong
so happens the cop that waved his hand at me to stop had a very keen eye..
i get a phone call as i'm going to work that night on my bike, pull over and its the cops... "where are you we need to talk"
at this stage i was like, shite and yeah....
long story cut short, i got done for doing 108 in a 60 zone $700aus and failure to stop $450, 6months automatic loss of license...
really sucks, only happened 3 days ago and i miss riding already
but all and all, if i were ever to say which bike i liked the most out of all the test i've done and the rides i've gone on i'd have to say that the 6r is a killer bike, so i've learnt my lesson and saving some money over my 6months non-license suspension and going to get a 10r and have some fun....
thanks again to all that help with info and as such, hope you's all have fun when i'm sitting at home looking at pron and waiting to get my license back :P
caio for now

smileyman 05-25-2005, 08:23 AM You need to save up for some track days and not pull that stuff on the street! Costs less, more fun, less chance of catching a SUV with your teeth, and it won't ruin sportbiking for the non riding public (i.e. cops)
BenRyDn 06-05-2005, 07:57 PM If you run you're guaranteed to eventually be caught. I personally do not run no matter what. Believe it or not, it has ALWAYS worked out better for me.
I did not even get a ticket a few weeks ago when I got pulled over for doing 35mph over the speed limit.
I stopped, talked to the cop, who was my age and into bikes. No ticket! :occasion1
DarkAngel 06-05-2005, 08:34 PM Uh Vago,
I must be missing something. You were going a buck 50 uphill, in a wheelie on a 6??? Is this thing turbocharged/supercharged or on NOS? Wait...My bad....Kilometers...sorry.... dude...that suxx butt....get yer license back...go riding...
El Diablo 06-05-2005, 11:46 PM If I had been your bud, your nuts would have been torn from your crotch as soon as you nailed it to run with me on back...

He had a passenger. Real wheelie-prone with those. Moves the CG up and back. Not safe at all, really.
griffenzx10 06-06-2005, 03:53 PM And it is because of shit like that that i get stopped by a FNG cop, telling me he pulled me over B/C he "didnt like the way i was tailgating him." Which is a bullshit reason just to pull me over, harass me, and then try to find something to ticket me for.
Thank you for making it more difficult for me to ride on the street. No sympathy, you deserve what you got. You RUN :fu2: and suffer the consequences.
zx10ragentblack 06-06-2005, 04:29 PM running is bad ummkay....

i cant see how my troubles here in Australia will even benefit or even disrupt what cops think of you GRIFFEN, well good luck to you with what happen with your "same age" cop friend.
i didnt say that i dont deserve what i got for the mistakes i made, all i'm saying is that i didnt really learn any lesson except for looking way more ahead of me than what i usually do... i know what i did was wrong and i got caught in the long run and thats it
thanks to everyone aswell with the responses even if you you did or didnt think i was stupid from my paniced situation
cheers

griffenzx10 06-07-2005, 07:49 AM It has nothing to do with you personally do over in Australia, it is all over, you think that only you Aussie's run from the cops, that shit happens all over, and it is cuz of that mentality, that way of thinking, that others, all around the world are dealing with. And i am sure you know how uptight we are about things here in the states, well the cops hate sport bikes even more here. And they are getting fed up with people running.
That is my point, so even though you are in a different country, YOUR KIND, is here as well.
vegemite 06-07-2005, 09:50 AM lighten up a little Griff. no harm done , and it didnt impact on your little world . Feel free to observe the speed limit and traffic signs as a leisurely pace with all the other retirees in Florida
Captain Jack 06-08-2005, 01:18 AM Is it just me, or is there nothing more boring than a long diatribe against stunting?
Try to keep the anti-stunter rants to one or two lines guys. And try to make it amusing for the rest of us.
Thanks in advance.
vag05 06-08-2005, 03:22 AM well all and all i have done the crime, which i know was speeding... i didnt mean to flee the police, i just paniced, if anyone had read my first post.. but that doesnt leave any room for me or anyone else to have a hissy fit..
but thanks to everyone again, sorry to you and your little problem Griff and i'll try and stop my stupidity, no need to label me aswell dude, just take a chillax..
thanks again
see you's on the roads again in about 5months and 12days now
:P
