Obviously we know the big bikes weigh more and have deficits in flickability/cornering speed. To those that have owned or spent a fair amount of time on both...what are your thoughts? I've always been intrigued by the potential ability to keep the front wheel down and accelerate harder on the 14 or Busa due to their longer wheelbases, but the overall acceleration due to the added weight seems like a wash in roll-ons. The last big bike I rode was a 172RWHP ZX-12R back in '01. Curious how a piped/re-mapped busa/14 feels to those coming on/off a 10R?

The 14 I rode was very strong. 176 hp at the rear wheel. On a roll on my 10r picks it up quick because the rpm's on the 14 top out at 11,000 the 10 keeps pulling till around 14,000. The Busa 2008 model is about the same feel 173 hp at the rear wheel. With roll-on's its the same story. Power to weight ratio is in the favor of the newer liter bikes. Up till 160 MPH stock for stock roll-ons give me a 10!!!

:+1:
power to weight ratio is making the Big Boys mad the 1ks can make them a bad day in short runs....PS no ZX10R is doing 14K RPMs that's just gauge error.

your not going to smoke them but consider the CC advantage to 1ks they don't bow down, it comes Down to Rider most times...just saying we are lucky in today's world of Motorcycles it's great to have both worlds....light and compact and fast as well like the big boys.

I have rode and raced the 3 of them!!
Busa = Great engine, makes a couple more hp and torque than the 14 but clutch is too aggressive and makes the bike hard to take off and likes to wheelie a lot even when it's stretched! so I say the busa is a great bike but the clutch and the brakes suck.
14 = More comfortable than the busa, Breaks are awesome, The Clutch is great it makes the bike feels easy and better taking off! The only thing I dont like about the 14 is the shark side panels other than that is a great bike.
The mighty 10R = Great horsepower for a 1000, Clutch is good and if it wheelies is cause is very light and motor is aggressive, the 10r is great for those that love road racing and hit the drag strip at the same time!
I always say that if you're light get a 10r or G1k but if you're heavy busa or 14 will do BUT at the end of the day it doesnt really matter what you have as long you know how to ride your bike you'll do good! but thats just my .02 we all have different opinions!
