Caught it this weekend at Daytona. Looks pretty trick... but it doesnt look to be a hp threat the the current Gixxer or even R1. ;) It looks like it can carry some corner speed though. the lower bodywork sucks ,,,by the way who put a 1000 sticker on a 600 ? LOL ,, i feel sorry for those poor saps who bought the 600 version only to find out thier bigger brother looks like a copy

I feel sorry for those getting a CBR1000 only to have everyone think you only ride a 600 :wink: my dealer over here has already got in lots of orders for the new R1, quite some for the ZX10R and only a couple for the CBR1000. Looks like it has already lost. Last year when the CBR600RR was introduced most had to wait until late summer to get theirs, nice work Honda :evil: But Gerrit Ten Kate is going to race them in World Super Hype eh Bike so it be interesting to see how it goes.

ten kate is usually a winner so it may save it ,,i agree i think the honda has weird marketing ideas ,,remeber the 929 ,,how cool was that ,,well not very when they released the 954 soon after .Now the 600 looks like the 1000 ,not the wisest idea .

It looks like one styling team did the top fairing and another team did the bottom. They did not compare notes until the bike was headed down the assembly line. :? For years, most of the magazines have bashed some bikes because they were too comfortable and stable. They had good power, but not rotate the earth power. They just didn't have enough race track focus. When the those same magazines do their 2004 liter bike comparisons, the Honda will win because it will be heavier and have a more composed ride and the horsepower delivery will be more civilized. The Honda will have "all of the power you really need". The other bikes will be bashed because they are going to be too race track focused. The Honda will be the only "real world" motorcycle. :roll:

zeta makes a good point ,,buyt that's what they said about the zx6 when it started and that bike is a laughing stock ,,if i wanted a couch i would have stayed at home .Riding is for riding ,commute on the bus

I agree if you wanna go half-ass...go buy a Katana. Sportbikes don't need to make comprimises, nobody goes cross-country on these things.

why moaning about a honda.(it isn't worth it). the 1000 looks like a 600...ok ,same problem with suzuki,but people almost never talk about that ugly and noisy cluth ducati,s(749/999). the are the same looking ugly bikes and everybody loves them..(???) why.??? the won the sport bike comparison this year in europa....AHAHAHHAHAA, with a bike that cost nearly 2.5 times the other bikes... i hope zx-10r brings new hope 4 kawa........... [kawa till the end]...GRTZZ....elizz
