Wondering if frame sliders are easy to install? This is being written by someone who is not mechanically incline please keep that in mind.

Depends if you buy no cut frame sliders or not! No cut is easier! There are people who have done how-tos with pics do a search for "frame sliders"

I just installed a set of shogun no cut frame sliders this past monday. I thought it was pretty easy, took me a little more than a hour.

I just installed a set of shogun no cut frame sliders this past monday. I thought it was pretty easy, took me a little more than a hour. Shogun no cuts (single mount point) frame slider bent and damaged my frame on my first 04. I'll only use sliders with two mount points if they are offset now. ...just my $0.02 on those fwiw... As for install, very easy for any no cut, but you still need to correctly torque the bolts and I've read accts of some having issues removing the bolts to start with. If using a torque wrench is beyond your reach, have someone do it for you. Hell....the debate on whether it's better to have sliders are not could start a tread that could rival which type of oil to use. good luck.

I say use no cut Champ Sliders. They use two mounting points and are very good. They are easy to install from what I gather, but he sadly doesn't make any for my Ducati...

Seriously took me about a half hour, taking my time. I got the no-cut ones. If you can turn a nut, you can do this.

I'd heard a few complaints about the single mount point sliders causing frame damage, for that reason I made sure to get the double mount off sets. I still worry about them doing more harm than good, but I like the look.

I still worry about them doing more harm than good, but I like the look. Ya...me too. I've not yet had a garage or stand still tip over, which I think most agree they work very well for, and the one get off that the slider could have helped, it caused the "total". Still keeping them on though, just not single mount offsets. :dontknow:

where you posting from bishop3? I'm sure theres another rider close by willing to lend a helping hand near you. Champs are the way to go! like said before,go with a double mount point slider system, stay away from a single point system. I believe the hardest part of the install was removing the original bolts, them bad boys were seriously torqued in there.

Live in the Syracuse area. Thus not many months to ride. Thanks for the input.
