That same magazine's test results indicate that the '04 ZX6R makes more HP (111+) than the '05 R6 (110). And since the general concensus is that the '05 ZX6R makes about 8 to 9 HP more than the '04 ZX6R, hmmm. NO CONTEST.

I can't wait till I can afford a strictly racing 600. So far Kawi has my money when the time comes.

This is the same dyno that got 164 out of the 10R. are the bikes the mags get hand built by the factory to get those high dyno #?

Big Daddy

Each bike is hand built....the multi billion $$ question is 'just how massaged are specific units or not? BD

All of them are "messaged" except for the Kawis.

This is the same dyno that got 164 out of the 10R. Yup, that's the one. Sportrider mag has acknowledged that it could be possible that there dyno reads a little high. When they built their SV650 for the Suzuki Cup races, they tuned it to the maximum allowable horsepower on their dyno. When they got to Road Atlanta, they found they were way underpowered, since their dyno reads too high. Don't be so quick to condemn the manufacturers for high dyno numbers. They are not the only one that benefit. It helps sales when Sportrider puts those big numbers on their cover.

But if your comparing numbers, it won't matter if their high, because thier all on the same dyno.

and if a 1000rr or an r1 picks on them we could back the lil'bro and mop the ground with those bikes Haha, that would be funny. I wonder if they'd notice the exhaust had moved from under the tail to the side. Prolly not considering their ridin' a CBR or an R1 (meaning obvioulsy not to observant). LOL!!
