: Gear Whine

I was rather hoping that after a few hundred miles and an oil change the gearbox whine would reduce. Unfortunately this does not seem to be happening. Any other fellow 10r riders find this noise to be a bit of a pain?

i hear it as well , mainly when engine braking and when at really low rpm’s, such as when taking off from a light.

honda thought they had a problem with whining on the RCV211 until they found out it was only on Biaggi's bike, then they let Tamada out on the bike and noticed the whining sound was still in pitbox

Mine is a noisy biatch. Generator whine (almost sounds like a turbo) that is noticeable at lower engine speeds and a gear whine that is really pronounced at 65 to 70 mph. That was pretty funny, Bugerking. BTW Rossi and Biaggi were actually pretty cordial with each other after their epic MotoGP battle this weekend. But poor ol' Biaggi just does not have the personality style of V. Rossi. Those 2 riders were definitely the class of the field today, on the track.

Mmmmmm, there wasn't no skoolin going on today as those two had a great battle the entire race which either one could have won. BD

Mmmmmm, there wasn't no skoolin going on today as those two had a great battle the entire race which either one could have won. BD Right you are. No real schoolin', but I got caught up in the excitement. It was a great race; best I've seen in a while. And regardless of the outcome (intentionally vague; don't want to spoil), it was nice to see a MotoGP race that wasn't just another race for second behind Rossi.
