: '08 ZX-10R Pictures and Info!!!
Had to post after seeing this bike, its what i like to call VOMIT. Definitly the ugliest bike Kawi has ever made to date. Its like an older Triumph and Aprilla got together and had some ugly bastard children. There is no way anyone could go look at the earlier 2000 Triumph sport bikes and the Aprilla's and not see those bikes in this thing yuck. I serioulsy wouldnt take one and keep it even if it was free lol and thats saying allot. I dont care how much better it would be over any of the competitors you wouldnt catch me on one thats for sure. Kind of sad when I saw what they did to a great bike.Franky lives!! :occasion1
I totally disagree with everything you just said btw.
R1HOOLIGAN 02-09-2008, 06:42 PM I serioulsy wouldnt take one and keep it even if it was free
I gotcha.....can't afford it, just like many others that are overboard with their venomous contempt:lol::thumbsup::rolleyes:
eezzrideher 02-09-2008, 07:14 PM I went from an 04 ZX10 to my current ride, an 06 GSXR 1000 and even though I like the gixxer a lot, I think the 08 ZX10 is going to be a fantastic bike. I am only waiting to see if all they say about it is true, and that will be proven this riding season. If it is all they claim, I will buy one in 2009.
I'm a guy who has ridden R1's, ZX's, and GSXR's so I am not necessarily a Kawi die-hard but I think the 08 ZX10 is a fantastic looking bike, and all you guys (zx riders or not) who are bashing this bike for it's looks are pathetic posers who probably park at a Starbuck's or whatever you have where you live and rarely ride or never do track days.
Therefore your opinions mean nothing to those of us who are serious sport-bike enthusiasts who love them for their road racing capability and you are nothing more to us than one of those spoiled ass kids you sometimes hear screaming at their Mom's in the mall or grocery store and wish you could bitch slap them like they deserve.
ripper 02-09-2008, 09:11 PM just sat on one for the first time today. beautiful bike in person. love the ergos but feel a bit more cramped than my '06. looks like a different set of front calipers (still tokiko) but look similar to the r-1 design. nissin mc feels much mo betta. should be a fun bike to ride. jealous...

My sentiments exactly, Here we have (I believe the reports that are coming in) the quantum leap track bike that the public can buy, and there are people talking looks  frankly I love the looks (I'd change that exhaust can, but that's a given anyway). :helmet:
Killa Kawi 02-11-2008, 02:49 PM I love the 08 ZX-10R, In every way, it doesnt get any better than that! I have had Yami's and Gixxer's, this will be my first Kawi, and I am switching from an 07 GSX-R 1000 to an 08 ZX-10R, I have always loved the Kawi's especially the Team Green, It's my favorite color, just my shop here has never had the green one when i went to buy a new bike each time, but i have ordered the new green one and I cant wait to get on it, and get rid of that stupid gsx-r.

My first bike was a Honda CX500 in 1981. In 1982 I went into a Kawi shop with a friend and saw the 1982 Kawasaki Eddie Lawson Replica in LIME GREEN, went into a state of shock over it, due to the paint scheme and just loved that paint color on a street bike and have loved it ever since.
I kicked myself over the years for not buying that bike. After the 1983 version that was the last LIME GREEN Kawi street bike for 6 long years until the ZX7 debutted in 1989 and I had to have one and all the dealers had at first were black ones. I had to wait 4 months for a LIME GREEN one. Never looked back.

Killa Kawi 02-11-2008, 04:03 PM it seems someone else shares my love for the GREEN! I will never look back either on the day i get my hands on the handle bars!
jleachma 02-11-2008, 04:24 PM :+1:
I heard it was the fastest color too:cool:
I will admit the black is pretty sick too.
Killa Kawi 02-11-2008, 04:29 PM It is the Fastest Color
Big Daddy 02-11-2008, 05:23 PM its a wanna be color...pfffttt

The PBO is HOT I do agree and would be my second choice. The first 10R I saw was in 04 and was the PBO. But any manufacterer could do a PBO color scheme, NO one else will ever do the Kawi Lime Green but Kawi.

Big Daddy 02-11-2008, 05:54 PM eah ok ya got me there

Thats exactly how it happened for me too. I saw that replica in the showroom and was in love. Trouble at that time was there was no other bike available in lime green and it was too $$$$$ for a kid!

See my out there on that qoute was i said I wouldnt keep it. I would be more than happy to take one for free and trade it in on something else
louemc 02-12-2008, 12:56 PM A middle age woman got out of her oversized SUV at a gas station and said (talkin Green here) I like that color, it leaps out of the backround, and is easy to see.
(top that for a reason)
Several times cagers on lonely mountain roads have seen me in their rear view mirrors, and pulled to the side (enough) to make my pass easier. I think they must of seen the Kawi ad with the Green Ninja and the Helicopter :-)
(top that for a reason)
greg 0410r/6rr 02-12-2008, 01:20 PM One of my sets of leathers are custom Bates and they are neon colored (yellow, green, pink w/ black and grey checkerboard and have a Scott Russel Shoei helmet that matches perfect. I stand out especially w/ the green bikes. I ride w/ the high beam during the day. If you can't see me your f*ckin' blind or your not looking. Brighter is better. Also make yourself seen. Don't follow trucks/SUV's too close.

haha nah i cant wait any longer, i have waited long enuff to get the perfect kawi and this year seems to be the year i fulfill my dream of owning the greatest bike ever built, i have been a ninja fan ever since i seen it in the movie american ninja back iin the '80's and i knew i would have one day and the time has arrived, Lime Green '08 Kawi ZX-10R, life doesnt get any better than that! Screw the yami's and screw the gixxer's too i have owned both and they do not compare to the kawi! sorry guys had to get that out there
doug_uk 02-13-2008, 12:47 PM What's happened with the new five spoke wheels? All the 10s I've seen seem to have last years six spoke wheels on them, has Kawasaki said why?
Killa Kawi 02-13-2008, 12:49 PM I haven't heard anything
louemc 02-13-2008, 01:31 PM Haha what about pink?
Well, if the rider is a girl, and wants to let everyone know, this is one girl that is smokin hot, then Pink and Black (maybe just black frame) and pink riding gear would be just Ultimate.
But for a guy it just doesn't cut it.
Killa Kawi 02-13-2008, 01:57 PM Haha idk they say real men wear pink and ride pink but ima stick with green
louemc 02-13-2008, 02:43 PM I've avoided the areas where "men" talk like that, butt, no matter, Green is the Kawasaki color, and when the public road is a sea of sport bikes, it sure doesn't hurt to have the color that says, "This is a Freakin Ninja :-)".

Word has it, that the supplier couldn't make enough in a short time so they stuck to the 6 spokes. Don't think they fancied to swap a few thousand wheels for the second time:spit:

Killa Kawi 02-13-2008, 05:17 PM i like the 5 spoke wheels, but so sad it didnt come stock with em, maybe when some 5 spokes are available i may have to make a switch, so who wants some stock 08 ZX-10 rims(6 spoke btw) hhaha
eezzrideher 02-15-2008, 04:28 PM Did anybody put that stock can and chamber on a weight scale?
greg 0410r/6rr 02-15-2008, 04:31 PM I'm doing a LeoVince slip-on...I'll let you know in two weeks. I think someone saved 13lbs. w/ a slip-on already.
I'm doing a LeoVince slip-on...I'll let you know in two weeks. I think someone saved 13lbs. w/ a slip-on already.I think it was the Area P that lost 12 lbs. and that pipe is probably bigger than the Leo. Does your pipe save the lower fairing that covers the midpipe?

Areap saved 6.5 pounds

greg 0410r/6rr 02-18-2008, 07:16 AM LeoVince is on hold as someone bought the only one I could find at Dennis Kirk...waiting right now 'til LeoVince calls me direct. WTF!!!!!!!! :dontknow:Do they want business...The only reason I was gonna pay over $700.00 for a stainless slip-on was because they're the only one I like so far...Hurry up Muzzys and Akra....Don't know about weight savings as of yet.
925stunna 02-20-2008, 05:10 PM i love how the faggots from MCN says its too racey and a cramped, raced riding position..........so when you put headlights and emissions on a full track ready race bike, what really do you expect? A slow, laz-e-boy honda or jixx? These shootouts are such crap, all the numbers and expectations from these one sided clows. WE know why we love kawi's and so does kawasaki. Everyone needs to stop getting pissy over what morons say, this 08 dominates in all aspects, like it has been. ok im done : )
louemc 02-20-2008, 05:51 PM Well, MCN was a giggle, and now we can get serious info. Sport Rider mag, April issue, Kent Kunitsugu reporting from Losail circuit in Qatar. Just one quote, "we never encountered a hint of instability, in two days of track riding".
I'll sum up the rest in the minimum words Holy mother of Power
greg 0410r/6rr 02-21-2008, 07:34 AM ****'08 Kawasaki catalogue just came out here yesterday...seat cowl, tank protector fer sure...frame sliders...maybe*****
Vonstallin 02-21-2008, 09:37 AM The only mags that I listen to are Road Racer X.
Road Racing World sometimes....
Road Racer X (IMHO) give a more nuetral report of the bikes, and this months Issue (Mar/Apr Vol. 6 No.2) Have a full out report by Mark Gardiner. They talk to Roger Hayden and and WSBK ZX10R riders after testing the bike out themselves, so you get a mag tester, and he then can talk to current racers and get their views.
I like this approach to testing becuse this is conducted in a controled manner vs how some mags just take it out on the street and then report. The street test is so subjective. I for one dont have nice streets here in the DC metro politan area so their test will not work for me.
Here is what the cover looks like....

ps: thanks guys for giving me rep...im just starting to get use to some of the new features here on .Net and didnt notice it....
That is a good mag. I only own two subscriptions and that's one of them.
Vonstallin 02-23-2008, 01:34 PM Here is a thread that I posted listing available 2008 zx10R aftermarket parts.
